Rickshaw - my favourite Indian restaurant - South London
Without doubt my favourite Indian curry house. There’s plenty around the West Norwood / Dulwich / Crystal Palace area but this is most definitely the best. The curry is beautiful, there’s loads of gluten free & lactose free choices. They really understand how to cater for dietary needs - I’ve never had any issues - and the staff are super friendly.
Plus, they make these incredible gluten free pancakes - which means you don’t need to be jealous when everyone is eating naan bread!
Smuggler’s Tavern: gf / lf pizza
The menu says pizza is not for those with severe intolerance. I wouldn’t normally risk this, but I did, and very happy to say that I was absolutely fine.
Gluten & lactose free Copenhagen
Copenhagen has some incredible places to very happily eat gluten & lactose free - with confidence that they’re really taking it seriously and not going to poison you. It’s such a treat to be able to relax while eating at a restaurant. Thank you Copenhagen.
Here’s a list of a few of the places that I ate at.. they were all brilliant…
The greatest gluten & lactose free bread & pastries I have ever eaten!
If you went all the way to Copenhagen and did nothing else other than buy everything you can afford at the incredible H.U.G bakery - and then travelled instantly home again - weighed down by magical bread, pastries, brownies & all you can fit into your luggage allowance - it would 100% be worth it!
Two Magpies: The best gluten free bread in the UK
Holy moly, I wish they would do delivery - I would be subscribing! This bread is without doubt the finest gluten free bread I have eaten in the UK.
If you are near Suffolk, go and buy some! Buy as much as you can.
They will take pre-orders, so if you know when you’re heading south east, book your order and pick-up on the day.
